1) How exactly does the building help system work?
Answer: The help page says that each vote takes off 1 minute from your building time. That seems ridiculous, though.
2) What is the best arrangement of defensive weapons to defend against attack?
Answer: My strategy is to put the longest ranged defense in the back, and the shortest range defense in the front, then clump them as much together as possible. Also make sure to only protect buildings which need to be repaired. Back -> Cannon fort : Arcane Tower : Flame Trebuchet : Mines -> front.
3) What buildings can be destroyed in a city battle, and what buildings need to be defended?
Answer: The only buildings that need to be repaired are defensive buildings. Perhaps all buildings that have health can be blown up in the base, but do not need to be repaired. It may be that destroying more buildings = more honor for the attacker.
4) Do Mines come back after being blown up?
Answer: Yes, they can be repaired, possibly after 24 hours.
5) Can a city ever be destroyed completely?
Answer: No, a city can never be destroyed completely. Even if your faction is destroyed, you can move to another faction.
6) Should defense structures be separated equally into 3? This is about 3 entrances -> 3 defense positions. The answer depends upon where the forces come from, and if the defenses can be bypassed by going around them.
7) How can we tell how much resources are needed to level up a city castle in the future (once, I had to destroy a building to make room for another storage building)?
Answer: You can't tell, but you can share the information with guild members. I will be sharing the information as well here.
8) How do you attack a city or army with more than 1 army or more than 1 person?
Answer: You can only attack with 1 army at a time, however there is still strategy despite this. Even in Fortress battles, only 1 army can attack at a time and the results are calculated near-instantly.
9) Is this game separated into periods? Does a game only run for a certain amount of time, before resetting? Perhaps the game for each kingdom runs until all sides are defeated except one?
Ocous Answer: "As you know, the game is still very new. The faction war is just the very beginning part of the game, which helps players to feel the heat and thrill of the war. It also serves an opportunity for the players to practice coordination and polish their battle skills. We have tons of new features planned for the future updates which goes way beyond the war zone." "Moreover, in Storm of Wars, all kingdoms in the game belong to one big world, so when time comes, players from all kingdoms will be able to interact and complete with each others. Therefore, the most important thing is to have fun, stay together and grow stronger!"
10) How can you tell if a person in your guild is online or offline?
Answer: The best way to tell is to ask for "help" and see who responds to it. Most people click it no matter what. Otherwise, it seems the game needs to be patched and refined more for that to be available.
Ocous Answer: "Great question as we just added a new Help topic for it! Here it is:

11) How do resources respawn? Do Skeleton villages count as resources? If you deplete all resources in the area, will it speed up resource respawn time?
Ocous Answer: "Resource and skeleton village will re-spawn over the time at a fixed rate. Depleting all resources in an area will not speed up re-spawn."
12) How do you intersect another army to fight them while they are on the move?
Ocous Answer: "You need to find the destination of that army, send your army to the destination and make sure your army arrives before your target. Then, when that army arrives at the destination, it will automatically start a battle between these two armies. The battle will be an auto-battle which means it will be calculated by the system. Neither of the players can control it manually and you don't need to be online for it to happen either."
13) When attacking cities, do you get honor for destroying buildings or only from killing troops and victory?
Ocous Answer: "You will get certain amount of honor by destroying defense buildings, but not other buildings."
Some ideas I've been thinking over:
1) Knights are the best carriers of mithril, crystal, and gold. It seems obvious that an army should be created entirely out of knights so that it can haul resources home 80% of the time, and fight 20% of the time.
2) The upgrading cost is actually very insane, and probably not worth it as this moment. I am seeing costs that say +65% crystal expense, and +25% damage. That's a rip off! It seems that the best idea is to research the higher race units very good, and have low-upgrade but high-race attackers, like Minotaur or Tempest. The exception to this is if you have no problem with resources, and you want to pack your finite armies with as much power as possible for the limited troops you can carry!
3) The research benefits of the city line are way too tiny to be useful. Researching building 10 times, you get -20% building time cost, which is completely not worth it. The best things to research are new races of troops, so you can have some diversity and win some battles. In addition: I researched Research 10 and it took over 8 days to finish researching, even after the huge resource cost. To make the +10% cost worth it, I will have to continue playing for another 80 days and do research the whole time!
4) You should always be researching. You will get to city castle 16 and have full buildings, but then you will have a ton of research left to do. Prioritize researching and never let your academy be off-work!
